Building Hope, Creating Opportunities
Spreading wings of hope and self-reliance to children and women across the slums and villages of Varanasi.
Our Story
Khula Aasman Sanstha was born in 2018 in the historic city of Varanasi out of a deep concern for the children and women living in slum pockets along the outer railway lines and rural outposts. What began as an informal evening tuition class under a tree for 15 children has now grown into a registered non-profit organization serving thousands of lives.
The name 'Khula Aasman' translates to 'Open Sky'. It symbolizes our core mission: to break the invisible ceilings of poverty, caste, and gender that restrict underprivileged individuals, offering them an open sky of opportunities.
Today, our team of dedicated educators, social workers, and community volunteers operate six core programs across Varanasi. We work to build self-sustaining communities by empowering children through education, skilling women for financial freedom, and securing basic nutrition and sanitation rights.
